America Stands Tall Back to home page

As America watched the Towers fall, I watched my friends and family attempt to understand terrorism. I watched the tears run down Miss Liberty's face. I felt America's spirit dampen. And then a few days later, I saw an angel rise high above the United States. As she soared upward, I saw my friends and family pulled on to their feet. I felt Miss Liberty stare into the sky. And then I felt America lift its spirit as high as it can go. I felt that angel put some love and hope in my heart.

And now, as I look back on this tragic event, I know that this is true: Stars and stripes are stars and stripes, but when they are sewn together, they are a symbol of freedom.
