• Police investigated a reported rape early yesterday morning. Detectives Ken Ryan and Joseph Fitzgerald traveled to Lowell General Hospital to speak to the alleged victim after police received a call from staff there at 2:49 p.m. that they were treating a woman who said she had been raped in Gloucester. Additional details were unavailable yesterday evening.
STOCKS
A charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license against a Gloucester man was continued without a finding until February 2005, and he was assessed $250 in court costs by Judge Richard Mori in District Court yesterday.
A Main Street antique dealer reported a larceny of a painting worth $1,600 at 12:55 p.m.
