Christina Godshalk reading Wednesday

Everyone is welcome to hear Christina Godshalk read from her highly praised novel, "Kalimantaan," at the Book Shop in Beverly Farms, next Wednesday, July 29, at 7 p.m. The author will answer questions and sign copies of her book. Refreshments will be served.

The Book Shop, painted a bright, new yellow and sporting a black-and-white-striped awning, is located at 40 West St. directly across the street from the train station.

Recently bought by six local women who share a love of books and a mission to continue selling books in the community, the Book Shop welcomes browsers and buyers from 9 to 5, Mondays through Saturdays. The shop hosts local author signings and readings on an ongoing basis, recent appearances including Joe Stanislaw, author of "Commanding Heights," and Joseph Garland, author of "North Shore," re-released in one volume.

You can check out their web site at www.shore.net/~~-bookshop or call for information at 978-927-2122.
