NEWBURY

46 High Road A Bed & Breakfast, 46 High Road. (Route 1A), 462-4664. This typical New England farmhouse has been in one family since 1863. The owner has lived in the house all of his life. A naturalist, he is familiar with the many waterways in the area. There are 2 rooms available for guests. One of the available rooms has a 4-poster double bed for $85 per night, while the other room features a queen-sized bed for $90 per night. A "wicked good" complimentary breakfast is included. Plum Rose Cottages, 15 & 17 Fordham Way, Newbury, 462-8066. Cute and cozy one- and two-bedroom cottages with fireplaces located across the street from the beach on Plum Island. Walton's Oceanfront is located on a beautiful sandy beach next to seven miles of deserted sand dunes and more than 4,000 acres of wildlife refuge. NEWBURYPORT

Greenleaf Inn, (B&B) 141 State St., 462-0678. Four rooms, private bath with each room. The inn is a small, intimate bed and breakfast located in the heart of Newburyport. A plentiful continental breakfast is served in the colonial dining room in the morning. Each afternoon refreshments are served in the sun-filled parlor or courtyard. Summer rates are $115-$135.

NEWBURYPORT

The Windsor House (B&B), 38 Federal St., 462-3778. Built in 1786 as a ship's chandlery/residence, it is now a newly redone inn combining Yankee hospitality and the English tradition of bed and breakfast. four guest rooms, with private baths, give a glimpse at innkeeping as it used to be.
